Assistant Professor Opening

MIT Economics has openings for faculty at the junior tenure-track (Assistant Professor) level beginning July 1, 2023, or as soon thereafter as possible.

Position details

There are no economics field constraints. Applicants should hold a PhD in Economics or a closely related field by the start date of employment, strong recommendations from graduate school faculty, and established potential in research and teaching. Responsibilities include teaching one subject per term the first year and 1.25 subjects per term thereafter, departmental committee work, and productivity in research. Applications must be received by November 15, 2022. Interviews will be conducted early January, 2023.
