Bio

Prof. Jeffrey E. Harris (AB summa Harvard 1969; MD Univ Pennsylvania 1974; PhD Econ Univ Pennsylvania 1975; Internal Med Residency & Fellowship, Mass Gen Hosp 1974-1977) assumed Emeritus status in the MIT Economics Department in July 2020. He currently practices medicine at Eisner Health, a federally qualified community health center in the heart of Los Angeles, where nearly all his patients come from underserved minority groups. Since the onset of the epidemic, he has published twelve papers on COVID-19 in peer-reviewed journals, with one more under review, and has contributed numerous opinion pieces on health policy and the law.
